Rainy Day Dress Code Flexibility

During this incredibly rainy season we being flexible with the dress code.

Dear Parents,

Due to the rainy season, we will allow rain boots (specifically for water - not Uggs, etc., but rubber/plastic in nature, which will keep feet dry) and rain jackets/coats (again-waterproof, not random sweatshirts, fleece, corduroy jackets, etc.) on rainy days only.

All other uniform/dress code rules still apply.  We are trusting the older students to be responsible and not push the envelope.  All alternate shoes or outerwear need to be rain-specific.

I would also request that parents help in ensuring students are properly dressed for the weather. Please make sure your child comes to school dressed warmly enough and wears shoes with traction for a wet, slippery playground.

We've had several students fall these last few days. Vans and slick-soled shoes are dangerous and should be avoided. It will be a long, wet winter; we will let students on the playground whenever possible, but it is essential they are properly attired for outdoor play during wet/cold/rainy weather.

With gratitude,

Attention 8th Grade Parents

Eighth grade baby and "through the years" photos for yearbook.

Deadline for turning in baby pictures and "through the years pictures" of Class of 2017 is December 13, 2016.

If you prefer to send scanned or digital photos please make sure they have a resolution of 300 dpi. Email to or share with me on Dropbox.

Actual photographs will be scanned and returned. Please make sure student name is on the back. Place in envelope in 8th grade homerooms.

  • Please don't send photos printed from a home printer.
